Hotel Ullensvang is a landmark fjord hotel in Western Norway, known for its long traditions and distinctive setting. Now part of the HEIMR Collection, the property pairs classic Norwegian hospitality with expansive facilities, making it a strong fit for high-end visual production, branded film, and experience-focused content creation. The scale of the hotel — from panoramic common areas to activity spaces — creates excellent opportunities for dynamic hotel imagery that supports both brand building and booking-driven marketing.
What I Delivered
A full commercial production combining professional photography, branded videography, and drone photo/video — created to support the hotel across web, campaigns, and high-visibility marketing surfaces. The shoot covered interior photography, guest rooms, food & beverage environments, and spa and pool areas, capturing the breadth of the property with a polished, editorial approach.
Destination and location visuals helped anchor the hotel within the fjord landscape, while activity-based content showcased the experiences available throughout the stay. Lifestyle imagery was relevant to bring energy and authenticity to the scenes, and additional film and photography were captured at nearby apple cider farms to strengthen the destination story and highlight local experiences. Drone footage tied everything together, delivering scale, context, and a premium visual consistency across the full content library.
Location
Located in Lofthus in the heart of the Hardangerfjord region, the hotel is surrounded by steep mountains, calm fjord waters, and seasonal orchards. The dramatic landscape opens up powerful angles for drone cinematography and wide establishing shots, while the shoreline placement allows the property to be captured in direct connection with the fjord. It’s a destination where nature does much of the storytelling — ideal for cinematic coverage that emphasizes scale, light, and atmosphere.
