Energihotellet — Nesflaten, Suldal (Ryfylke)

The Client
Energihotellet is an architectural landmark in Nesflaten, widely recognized for its modernist design and cultural significance. Originally conceived as a design-driven retreat, the hotel remains a standout example of Scandinavian modernism — making it exceptionally well suited for architectural photography, cinematic video work, and design-focused visual storytelling. Strong geometric lines, curated interiors, and bold color use create a property where form naturally leads the visual narrative.

What I Delivered
Guided by the building’s architectural rhythm, the production brought together commercial photography, film, and drone photo/video to create a visually distinctive content library. The shoot prioritized interiors, guest rooms, and architecture-driven details, captured with precision to emphasize structure, color, and spatial experience.

Food & beverage environments were documented to complement the guest journey, while lifestyle scenes featuring models and talent introduced scale and human presence within the design. Meetings content was produced to support the hotel’s appeal as a gathering destination, and aerial visuals provided clarity, context, and dramatic perspective — resulting in a cohesive set of brand-ready assets built for modern hospitality marketing.

Location
Overlooking the dramatic landscape of Suldal in the Ryfylke region, the hotel sits elevated above water and steep mountainsides, giving it a striking sense of presence. The surrounding terrain opens up powerful angles for drone photography and aerial cinematography, while the remote setting enhances destination-driven visuals. Changing weather and Nordic light further amplify the cinematic quality of the location, helping anchor the hotel within a memorable natural environment.
