The bolder—lysefjorden

The Client
The Bolder is a design-driven hospitality concept located in the dramatic landscape of Lysefjorden. Known for its striking architecture and minimalistic cabins placed directly in nature, the project blends contemporary design with a strong sense of place. The property is particularly suited for architectural photography, destination storytelling, and cinematic visual production, where the relationship between structure, landscape, and experience becomes the central narrative.

What I Delivered
The production focused on creating a strong visual library that highlights both the architecture and the surrounding landscape. Deliverables included commercial photography, interior and room photography, and architectural detail imagery designed to showcase the design language of the cabins.

Videography was produced to capture the atmosphere of the location and the experience of staying within the fjord environment. Drone photos and video were used to establish the dramatic relationship between the buildings and the landscape. The final delivery provides a cohesive set of visual assets suitable for website presentation, editorial use, and international destination marketing.

Location
Set along the steep mountainsides of Lysefjorden near Stavanger, the cabins sit within one of Norway’s most iconic natural environments. The fjord’s towering cliffs, deep water, and constantly shifting light create powerful conditions for both photography and film. The elevated placement of the architecture also allows for dramatic drone perspectives, helping capture the scale of the landscape and the bold positioning of the cabins within it.
